Billing Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Billing Manager with strong financial acumen and proven leadership abilities. The ideal candidate will oversee all billing operations, ensure accuracy and compliance in invoicing, and maintain high levels of client satisfaction. This role requires experience in managing billing systems, team supervision, and a deep understanding of accounting principles and reporting. The Billing Manager will lead a team, ensuring billing processes are efficient, accurate, and aligned with organizational goals.
Job Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead and manage a billing team, setting clear objectives and performance standards to meet company goals.
- Provide coaching and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Ensure team compliance with billing protocols, driving improvements and streamlining processes.
Billing Operations Management:
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end billing process, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing.
- Ensure all invoices comply with regulatory requirements and company policies, minimizing errors and discrepancies.
- Continuously review and enhance billing operations, implementing best practices to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Client-Facing & Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for billing-related client inquiries, ensuring prompt and accurate responses.
- Work closely with clients to resolve any billing discrepancies and maintain a high level of client satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing clear and transparent communication on billing matters.
Problem Solving & Analytical Reporting:
- Analyze billing data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare detailed billing reports, providing insights on revenue, collection rates, and outstanding invoices.
- Use data-driven insights to optimize billing processes and improve collection outcomes.
Compliance and Financial Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and internal policies in the billing process.
- Work with the finance team to reconcile accounts, track payments, and generate reports on revenue and billing metrics.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support auditing and compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Strong experience in billing, accounts receivable, or financial management, with proven leadership abilities.
- Deep understanding of billing systems, accounting principles, and financial regulations.
- Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to resolve billing inquiries professionally and effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in preparing detailed reports on billing metrics, collections, and revenue.
- Proficiency in billing software and financial reporting tools.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in billing management or financial operations, with experience leading a team.
- Proven experience in managing billing systems, invoicing processes, and client communications.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
